Airworthiness Directives; Eagle Aircraft (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd Model Eagle 150B Airplanes

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Eagle Aircraft (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd (Eagle Aircraft) Model Eagle 150B airplanes. This AD requires you to inspect certain canard inboard flap hinge support brackets (initially prior to further flight and repetitively before the first flight of each day) and perform any necessary follow-up action. This AD is the result of mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by the airworthiness authorities for Australia and Malaysia. We are issuing this AD to prevent failure of the canard inboard flap hinge support brackets caused by undetected cracks. This failure could result in asymmetric flap deployment and the inability to lower or raise the flaps with consequent loss of control of the airplane.

Airworthiness Directives; CTRM Aviation Sdn. Bhd. (Formerly Eagle Aircraft (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.) Model Eagle 150B Airplanes

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) to supersede AD 2004-11-04, which applies to all CTRM Aviation Sdn. Bhd. (Formerly Eagle Aircraft (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.) Model Eagle 150B airplanes. AD 2004-11-04 currently requires you to inspect certain canard inboard flap hinge support brackets (initially before further flight and repetitively before the first flight of each day) and perform any necessary follow-up action. This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by the airworthiness authority for Malaysia to require the installation of improved design inboard flap hinge brackets as terminating action for the repetitive inspections. Consequently, this AD retains the requirement that you inspect certain canard inboard flap hinge support brackets (initially before further flight and repetitively before the first flight of each day) and then requires that you replace the parts with new design inboard flap hinge brackets as terminating action for the repetitive inspections or if cracks are found. We are issuing this AD to detect and correct cracks in the canard inboard flap hinge support brackets, which could result in loss of retention of controls and consequently, loss of airplane control.

Eagle Aircraft (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. Model Eagle 150B Airplanes

Requires you to modify or replace the co-pilot rudder pedal assembly.

Full official abstract

Airworthiness Directives; Eagle Aircraft (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. Model Eagle 150B Airplanes

The FAA adopts a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Eagle Aircraft (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. Model Eagle 150B airplanes. This AD requires you to modify or replace the co-pilot rudder pedal assembly. This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by the airworthiness authority for Malaysia. We are issuing this AD to prevent binding of the co-pilot rudder pedal assembly due to premature wear of the bushing, which could result in loss of co-pilot rudder and brake control. This failure could result in loss of control of the airplane.

Eagle Aircraft (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. Model 150B Airplanes

Requires you to modify the canard rear spar and the rear spar attachment bracket.

Full official abstract

Airworthiness Directives; Eagle Aircraft (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. Model 150B Airplanes

This amendment adopts a new airworthiness directive (AD) that applies to certain Eagle Aircraft (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (Eagle) Model 150B airplanes. This AD requires you to modify the canard rear spar and the rear spar attachment bracket. This AD is the result of mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by the airworthiness authority for Australia. The type design responsibility has been transferred from Australia to Malaysia since the release of the MCAI. The actions specified by this AD are intended to prevent detachment of the rear spar bracket from the canard rear spar, which could result in failure of the canard rear spar. Such failure could lead to loss of control of the airplane.

Eagle Aircraft Pty. Ltd. Model 150B Airplanes

Requires you to inspect the rudder cables for fraying, broken strands, etc.

Full official abstract

Airworthiness Directives; Eagle Aircraft Pty. Ltd. Model 150B Airplanes

This amendment adopts a new airworthiness directive (AD) that applies to certain Eagle Aircraft Pty. Ltd. (Eagle) Model 150B airplanes. This AD requires you to inspect the rudder cables for fraying, broken strands, etc. (referred to as damage), and replace any damaged cables. This AD also requires you to replace the rudder cable pulleys with larger diameter pulleys to eliminate the possibility of further damage. This AD is the result of mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by the airworthiness authority for Australia. The actions specified by this AD are intended to detect and correct damaged rudder cables caused by chafing of the cable against the pulleys. Continued airplane operation with damaged cables could result in rudder cable system failure with possible loss of airplane control.
