Blanik Aircraft CZ s.r.o.
Requires a one-time inspection of the rudder control cable attachment screws and hinge bolts, replacement of the cable attachment screws and hinge bolts if a crack is found, and reporting the inspection results to the manufacturer.
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Blanik Aircraft CZ s.r.o. Model L 23 Super-Blanik gliders. This AD requires a one-time inspection of the rudder control cable attachment screws and hinge bolts, replacement of the cable attachment screws and hinge bolts if a crack is found, and reporting the inspection results to the manufacturer. This AD was prompted by reports of cracked rudder cable attachment screws. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

Airworthiness Directives; LET Aeronautical Works Model L-13 ``Blanik'' Sailplanes
This amendment adopts a new airworthiness directive (AD) that applies to all LET Aeronautical Works (LET) Model L-13 ``Blanik'' sailplanes. This AD requires painting (using a contrasting color, i.e., red paint) the left hand elevator drive mechanism in order to not have the elevator drive bellcrank inadvertently installed backwards. This AD is the result of mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by the airworthiness authority for the Czech Republic. The actions specified by this AD are intended to prevent the elevator drive bellcrank from being installed backwards, which could result in an incorrect rigging of the elevator flight control with potential reduced or loss of control of the sailplane.

We are superseding airworthiness directive (AD) 99-19-33 for BLANIK LIMITED Models L-13 Blanik and L-13 AC Blanik gliders (type certificate previously held by LET Aeronautical Works). This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by an aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product. The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as lack of distinct color marking of the elevator drive. We are issuing this AD to require actions to address the unsafe condition on these products.

LET a.s. Model Blanik L-13 AC Sailplanes
Requires you to replace the original control bridge with the new strengthened control column mounting bridge.
Full official abstract
Airworthiness Directives; LET a.s. Model Blanik L-13 AC Sailplanes
The FAA adopts a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all LET a.s. (formerly LET n.p.) (LET) Model Blanik L-13 AC sailplanes. This AD requires you to replace the original control bridge with the new strengthened control column mounting bridge. This AD is the result of a report of one case of cracks in the attachment of control levers on the control bridge. We are issuing this AD to correct cracks in the bedding of the front and rear control levers, which could result in failure of the control bridge for the sailplane. This failure could lead to loss of sailplane control.

LETECKÉ ZÁVODY Model L 23 SUPER-BLANIK Sailplanes

Airworthiness Directives; LETECKÉ ZÁVODY Model L 23 SUPER-BLANIK Sailplanes
The FAA adopts a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain LETECK[Eacute] Z[Aacute]VODY Model L 23 SUPER--BLANIK sailplanes. This AD requires you to do a repetitive, non-destructive magnetic test (NDMT) inspection on the elevator rocker lever (part number A 730 201 N) for cracks. If cracks are found, this AD also requires you to return the part to the manufacturer. The manufacturer will send you a replacement part for installation. Installing the improved replacement part terminates the need for the repetitive inspections. This AD is the result of mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by the airworthiness authority for the Czech Republic. We are issuing this AD to prevent failure of the elevator rocker lever caused by cracks that resulted from a defect in prior manufacturing procedures. Such failure could lead to loss of control of the sailplane.
