The FAA is correcting an airworthiness directive (AD) that published in the Federal Register. That AD applies to certain Cessna Aircraft Company (Cessna) Models 150F, 150G, 150H, 150J, 150K, 150L, 150M, A150K, A150L, A150M, F150F, F150G, F150H, F150J, F150K, F150L, F150M, FA150K, FA150L, FRA150L, FA150M, FRA150M, 152, A152, F152, and FA152 airplanes. There is an error in the compliance instructions. This document corrects that error. In all other respects, the original document remains the same.
A correction restates part of an AD that was published incorrectly. It is
not an additional requirement and it does not change the AD number or its effective date.

Airworthiness Directives; Cessna Aircraft Company Airplanes
We are revising an existing airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Cessna Aircraft Company (Cessna) Models 150F, 150G, 150H, 150J, 150K, 150L, 150M, A150K, A150L, A150M, F150F, F150G, F150H, F150J, F150K, F150L, F150M, FA150K, FA150L, FRA150L, FA150M, FRA150M, 152, A152, F152, and FA152 airplanes. That AD currently requires either installing a placard prohibiting spins and other acrobatic maneuvers in the airplane or replacing the rudder stop, the rudder stop bumper, and the attachment hardware with a rudder stop modification kit. This new AD requires a change to the modification kit and removal of a small amount of material from the rudder horn assembly for those that have not yet complied with the existing AD or for those who can not comply with the existing AD (because they were unable to obtain full rudder travel with the existing kits). This AD was prompted by operators who have reported difficulty in obtaining full rudder travel with the existing modification kit. We are issuing this AD to revise the kits to use longer rivets and allow a small amount of material to be removed from the rudder horn assembly, which allows operators to obtain full rudder travel.

We are superseding an existing airworthiness directive (AD) for Cessna Aircraft Company (Cessna) 150, 152, 170, 172, 175, 177, 180, 182, 185, 188, 190, 195, 206, 207, 210, T303, 336, and 337 series airplanes. That AD currently requires repetitive inspections and replacement of parts, if necessary, of the seat rail and seat rail holes; seat pin engagement; seat rollers, washers, and axle bolts or bushings; wall thickness of roller housing and the tang; and lock pin springs. This new AD requires retaining all of the actions from the previous AD and adding steps to the inspection procedures in the previous AD. This AD was prompted by added steps to the inspection procedures, added revised figures, and clarification of some of the existing steps. We are issuing this AD to prevent seat slippage or the seat roller housing from departing the seat rail, which may consequently cause the pilot/copilot to be unable to reach all the controls. This failure could lead to the pilot/copilot losing control of the airplane.

We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) to revise AD 2009-10-09, which applies to Cessna Aircraft Company (Cessna) 150 and 152 series airplanes. AD 2009-10-09 requires either installing a placard prohibiting spins and other acrobatic maneuvers in the airplane or replacing the rudder stop, the rudder stop bumper, and the attachment hardware with a new rudder stop modification kit and replacing the safety wire with jamnuts. Since we issued AD 2009-10-09, we became aware of a need to clarify certain model and serial number designations, remove the duplicate requirement of replacing the safety wire with jamnuts, and clarify the conditional acceptability of using modification kit part number (P/N) SK152-25 as a terminating action to this AD. Consequently, this AD retains the actions currently required in AD 2009-10-09, corrects model designation for certain serial numbers, removes the duplicate requirement of replacing safety wire with jamnuts, and clarifies the conditional acceptability of using modification kit P/N SK152-25 as a terminating action to this AD. We are issuing this AD to prevent the rudder from traveling past the normal travel limit. Operation in this non-certificated control position is unacceptable and could cause undesirable consequences, such as contact between the rudder and the elevator.

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Cessna Aircraft Company (Cessna) 150 and 152 series airplanes. This AD requires you to either install a placard prohibiting spins and other acrobatic maneuvers in the airplane or to replace the rudder stop, rudder stop bumper, and attachment hardware with a new rudder stop modification kit and replace the safety wire with jamnuts. This AD results from follow-on investigations of two accidents where the rudder was found in the over-travel position with the stop plate hooked over the stop bolt heads. While neither of the accident aircraft met type design, investigations revealed that aircraft in full conformity with type design can exceed the travel limits set by the rudder stops. We are issuing this AD to prevent the rudder from traveling past the normal travel limit. Operation in this non-certificated control position is unacceptable and could cause undesirable consequences, such as contact between the rudder and the elevator.

We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Cessna Aircraft Company (Cessna) 150 series airplanes with the BRS-150 Parachute System installed via Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) SA64CH. This AD requires you to replace the pick-up collar support and nylon screws for the BRS-150 Parachute System. This AD results from notification by Ballistic Recovery Systems, Inc. (BRS) that the pick-up collar assembly may prematurely move off the launch tube and adversely affect rocket trajectory during deployment. We are issuing this AD to prevent premature separation of the collar. This condition could result in the parachute failing to successfully deploy.

The FAA adopts a new airworthiness directive (AD) that will supersede AD 86-26-04, which applies to certain Cessna Aircraft Company (Cessna) 120, 140, 140A, 150, F150, 170, 172, F172, FR172, P172D, 175, 177, 180, 182, 185, A185E, 190, 195, 205, 205A, 206, P206, P206E, TP206A, TU206, TU206E, U206, U206E, 207, T207, 210, T210, 336, 337, and T337 series airplanes. AD 86-26-04 currently requires you to inspect and, if necessary, modify the pilot/co-pilot upper shoulder harness adjusters that have certain Cessna accessory kits incorporated. This AD is the result of reports that additional airplanes have the same unsafe condition and the manufacturer revised the service information to add these airplanes and correct the part number of the shoulder harness adjusters. Consequently, this AD retains the actions of 86-26-04, adds additional airplanes to the applicability section of this AD, and incorporates the revised service information. We are issuing this AD to prevent slippage of the pilot/co-pilot shoulder harness, which could result in failure of the shoulder harness to maintain proper belt length adjustment and tension. Such failure could result in pilot/co- pilot injury.

This amendment adopts a new airworthiness directive (AD) that applies to Cessna Aircraft Company (Cessna) 150, 152, 172, 177, 180, 182, 185, 188, 206, 207, 210, and 337 series airplanes. This AD requires measuring the visible length of standpipe (tube) in the top assembly of the fuel strainer assembly for the correct length, and replacing any fuel strainer assembly that does not have the correct length of standpipe. This AD is the result of reports that the fuel strainer assemblies on the affected airplanes were manufactured with the fuel standpipes incorrectly installed in the assembly housing top. The actions specified by this AD are intended to prevent foreign material from entering the fuel system and engine, which could result in loss of engine power or complete engine stoppage during flight.

This amendment adopts a new airworthiness directive (AD) that applies to Cessna Aircraft Company (Cessna) 150 and A150 series and Models 152 and A152 airplanes that have a Bush Conversions, Inc., Short Takeoff and Landing (STOL) kit incorporated in accordance with Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) SA1371SW. This action requires measuring the wing stall fence for maximum height, and installing a smaller fence if the fence exceeds the maximum height of 1.28 inches. An accident of a Cessna Model 152 airplane where the STOL kit adversely affected the airplane's stall characteristics prompted this action. The actions specified by this AD are intended to prevent the airplane from entering a stall condition because of improper wing stall fence height, which could result in loss of control of the airplane.
